The Temple of Hip Hop's declaration of peace states that Hip Hop Appreciation Week is the third week in May. To celebrate hip hop we are throwing a picnic party in the park. From noon - 8 pm in Louise McKinney Riverfront Park, which is situated in the Edmonton River Valley just south of the Shaw Conference Center (South of Jasper and 97 St). There is going to be performances by local talent, games, food, prizes, graf, b-boyin & b-girlin, dj'in, beatboxin, mc'in and all the things that hip hop entails.
Sign up is done now... but come on down... we have a full day of live music, dance and much more.
It is going to be a lot of fun... so please... come on out rain or shine. The stage is sheltered from rain... and huge... so the whole party can be held on the stage if the weather is not cooperative. MAY 24. Hip Hop Appreciation Day. On Saturday June 28th we will be holding our first annual Got Swag? Silent Auction/Indoor Yard Sale. We will have plenty of items up for grabs to the highest bidder accompanied by live music provided by A.O.K. who's album dropped this month and is available in a store near you.
