Greetings Hiphoppas!
It is hard to believe that this is the fifth Hip Hop in the Park festival. It seems like only a short time ago that we all got together and put on the first big show on the new stage in Louise McKinney Park. Now we are a staple festival that kicks off the season in Canada’s festival city. We are proud to put on one of Canada’s largest Hip Hop festivals right here in Edmonton... and to have been doing it for 5 years now.
Hip Hop is an active thing. You cannot be Hip Hop without hopping. Otherwise you would just be hip... and that ain’t Hip Hop. That is why we have brought the “Participate” theme to this years event. To be a part of Hip Hop kulture... you need to be participate in it. It is great to watch... but we encourage you to get involved.
Paint on the wall... work on some dance steps... take a workshop... try your hand at deejayin’... There is so much Hip Hop has to offer you... and I am positive that there is so much that YOU have to offer Hip Hop. So... what are you waiting for? PARTICIPATE!!!
